Immerse yourself in Queenstown's unique landscape as your guide highlights significant local history, flora and fauna, as you explore trails forged out by the early gold mining pioneers. Grab your camera, breathe in the fresh air and prepare to embark on an epic journey through nature with very few, if anyone in sight.

Start the day with a complimentary pickup and scenic drive through the town to the trail. Our backcountry hike is no more than a 20-minute drive from town and your entire adventure will take around 4-5 hours from pickup to drop off.


Grab your camera, breathe in the fresh air and prepare to embark on an epic journey through nature with little or no one in sight.


Your friendly guide will highlight significant local history, flora, fauna, and landscape unique to the area. Be wowed by magnificent views throughout your adventure ensuring any picture is Instagram worthy.


All that walking and exploring can make you hungry, so enjoy a scrumptious picnic lunch surrounded by majestic mountain peaks and breathtaking views during your hike.


Your tour concludes with a scenic drive back to Queenstown.

What To Bring

  • Sturdy Hiking/Running or Walking shoe's

  • Rain Jacket

  • Base and mid layers for all walks

  • Winter Hiking - thermal layers 

  • Water Bottle

  • Warm hat or Sun hat

  • Sunglasses

  • Gloves if you have them

  • Small day pack

  • Any medication if required

  • Camera


*Sandles, Jandals or flip flops are not recommended*


Know Before You Go

  • All trails are well-formed and maintained, there may be some short steep sections and undulations and trails can become loose, muddy or slippery depending on the season and weather

  • Your guides will inform you of the trail conditions at the start of your hike

  • Wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots and practical clothing suitable for all temperatures and conditions

  • Bring a sunhat (or beanie if cold), sunglasses, rain jacket, medications (if required), and your camera

  • All guides have first aid training, carry EPIRBS (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) and first aid kits.
